"The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted" error when running dcpromo August 5, 2008 08:23:13 Posted By InfoTechGuyz Error: "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted" error when running dcpromo on Server 2008 Solution: Of course everyone will tell you to check the network coneectivity, DNS, etc. In my case, i had no Global Catalog within the domain.
